Lighthouse Clock Tower
Colonial buildings in Colombo
Old Colombo Lighthouse or Colombo Fort Clock Tower is a clock tower but used to be a lighthouse.
The clock tower was built by the British in 1857 and was the tallest structure in Colombo at the time. The lighthouse at the top of the clock tower is very unusual and believed to be the only one in existence worldwide; the lighthouse is not been operational since 1952.
