On the second day of the tour you will depart Negombo to Wilpattu visiting Negombo fish market: The drive from Negombo to Wilpattu National Park is about 3-4 hours, depending on traffic. Along the way, you’ll get to see rural Sri Lanka, with its paddy fields, coconut plantations, and small villages

Negombo Fish Market: Negombo is a coastal city in Sri Lanka known for its fishing industry, and the fish market there is a must-visit for seafood lovers. You’ll get to see a wide variety of fresh fish and seafood being sold by local fishermen and traders.

Safari at Wilpattu National Park: Wilpattu is one of the largest and oldest national parks in Sri Lanka, and is home to a wide variety of wildlife, including leopards, elephants, deer, and birds. A safari through the park is a great way to see these animals in their natural habitat.

On the third day you will be able to visit the archaeological sites in Anuradhapura including Mihinthalaya Rajamaha Viharaya. Anuradhapura is one of the major archaeological cities in Sri Lanka and was one of the ruling kingdoms in Sri Lankan history. The city also has contributed to a great significance of Sri Lanka’s civilization. In the afternoon your guide will be at the hotel to pick you up to take you for the afternoon spiritual tour of Sri Maha Bodhiya and Ruwanweli Maha Seya. Please keep in mind to bring some white clothing for this occasion if possible. Later in the evening you will be dropped off at your hotel for rest and relaxation. Today we leave for Sigiriya via visiting Ritigala Forest Monastery. The drive from Anuradhapura to Sigiriya is about 1 hour. Ritigala is one of the protected territories in Sri Lanka due to its significance as a Forest Monastery. You can hike Ritigala Mountain with the assistance of your guide and learn how ancient monks lived, meditated, and practiced their religion in a forest, a wonder to see!

This afternoon you will be taken for a one-in-a-lifetime hiking experience at Pidurangala. At the top, you will be able to see the beautiful area of Sigiriya, including Sigiriya Rock. Later, there is a complimentary dinner at one of the quirky bars in town, Rasta Rant at Sigiriya

On Day 5 you will see the world famous Sigiriya Lion Rock Fortress. It is best to climb the rock in the morning to avoid the midday heat. And it is best to wear your runners or hiking shoes for grabbing this experience, as you will be climbing very steep, narrow staircases to get to the top to experience the breathtaking view. After your Sigiriya Rock climb village experience in Sigiriya is a great way to immerse yourself in Sri Lankan culture and learn about the daily life of the locals. It’s a unique and authentic experience that you won’t forget! Later in the afternoon you have the option of having a relaxing traditional Ayurvedic massage to rejuvenating your body and mind

Today you are heading from Sigiriya to Kandy and your journey starts with a visit to the ancient Cave Temples of Dambulla Raja Maha Viharaya. Be prepared for a steep climb when you are visiting this temple, however you will not regret the view and magnificent ancient architecture after reaching the top. Further on the way to Kandy, you will visit a spice garden in Matale, where you can also have your lunch, and see the ancient stone temple of Nalanda Gedige. Drive from Sigiriya to Matale is about 1.5 hours and from Matale to Kandy is about another 1 hour. After arriving in Kandy, you will be dropped off at the hotel for checking in.

Visiting the Temple of the Tooth early in the morning is a great way to experience the spiritual atmosphere of this important pilgrimage site. The Temple of the Tooth, also known as Sri Dalada Maligawa, is a Buddhist temple located in the heart of Kandy. It’s one of Sri Lanka’s most important religious and cultural sites and is believed to house a tooth of the Buddha.

Kandy is a city with a rich cultural heritage, and there are many interesting sites to visit. After exploring the city, you can visit the nearby Peradeniya Botanical Garden, which is located about 6 kilometers outside of Kandy. Later in the afternoon you can enjoy a traditional cultural dance show depending on your preference or can be dropped off at the hotel for evening rest and relaxation.

Today is an exciting day as you will be taken on one of the most scenic train rides in the country. You will be driven by car by your guide from Kandy to Nuwara Eliya and on the way you will get to see how the world-famous Ceylon tea is made and chance to participate in tea tasting sessions too. The drive from Kandy to Nuwara Eliya takes about 3 hours by car. Then from Nuwara Eliya to Ella you will have the one-in-a-lifetime train ride. By the time you reach Ella your tour guide will be at Ella train station to pick you up and drop you off at the hotel for rest and relaxation.

Ella is a small village in the highlands of Sri Lanka, which is filled with tea estates, mountains, waterfalls and of course with some good air to breath. Ella is one of the must-visit destinations in Sri Lanka, just to witness the breath-taking views it creates. It is a dream place for many trekkers with some of the best hikes the island provides. This hidden village got vastly popular among the tourists lately. Views of mist and clouds covering the summits of the mountain range and the morning sunrise in Ella are spectacular scenes to witness and capture.

On day 10, you will reach the south coast of the country via visiting Ravana Waterfall and the Elephant Transit Home at Udawalawe. You will be able to experience the unfathomable wildlife right in front of your eyes, a rare experience to have! Also it is an option to go on a safari at Udawalawe National Park. The drive from Ella to Udawalwa is about 2 hours. After visiting Udawalawe Elephant Transit Centre, we will continue our way to the South Coast, where we will drop you off at the hotel for beach, rest, and relaxation. The drive from Udawalawe to Weligama is about 2 hours. The next few days you can spend your time at the beach sipping cocktails.
